35th Independence Anniversary Celebrations
The Eritrean community, under the official patronage of the Embassy in Qatar, hostage a large-scale celebration on May 13 and May 15 2026. Held under the theme “Our Resilience Our Guarantee”, the event brought together diaspora members to celebrate national culture and heritage.
High-Level Bilateral Engagements
On April 30,2026 Eritrea’s Ambassador to Qatar, Ali Ibrahim Ahamed held an official meeting with Mohammed Bin Abdul Aziz Al Meer, the president of Qatar’s public works Authority. The meeting focused on strengthening institutional ties, enhancing development coordination, and fostering mutual diplomatic interests.
Women’s Rights and Leadership Briefing
In late April 2026, Ambassador Ali Ibrahim, alongside leadership from the national union of Eritrean women, a led community briefing highlighting the progressive role and historical contributions of Eritrean women toward national development and safeguarding Sovereignty.
Community Infrastructure Milestone
Earlier in the year, the embassy oversaw the inauguration of a new kindergarten established specifically by the Eritrean community in Doha. The institution aims to provide balanced foundational education while preserving the traditional societal values for young Diaspora children.
