HELP & GUIDANCE

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers about navigating DiplomaticGate, checking information and using account features.

About the platform

What is DiplomaticGate?

DiplomaticGate is an independent diplomatic information platform covering updates, countries, missions, representatives, relationships, events and analysis. It is not an embassy or a government authority.

Do I need an account to read the website?

No. Public articles and directories can be browsed without signing in. Certain personalized, community or service features may require a registered account.

Is the information official diplomatic advice?

No. For visas, immigration, diplomatic accreditation, emergency assistance and binding notices, use the relevant government or mission’s official channels.

Finding information

How can I find an embassy or diplomatic mission?

Open Missions, then browse the directory, Embassies in Qatar or the mission map. Check the mission’s official website for time-sensitive addresses, opening hours and consular procedures.

Where are ambassadors and bilateral relations listed?

Use Relations for country profiles, bilateral relationships, ambassadors and the diplomatic timeline. Current roles and historical appointments are treated as separate records.

Can I browse in Arabic?

Yes. Use the EN / العربية language control. Some records may contain incomplete translations while editorial review is underway.

Articles, accuracy and sources

What is the difference between Updates and Analysis?

Updates cover reported developments; Analysis, Briefings and Executive Reports offer context and interpretation. Editorial and analytical material should be distinguished from official statements.

Why might an article’s source date differ from its DiplomaticGate date?

The original publisher’s date and DiplomaticGate’s editorial publication date are separate facts. Look for source attribution, and consult the original source when timing is critical.

How do I report an incorrect article or diplomatic record?

Use Corrections and include the page link, the disputed statement and a reliable supporting source. Urgent safety or privacy concerns can be raised through Contact.

Accounts and personalized features

How do I register or sign in?

Use Register or Log in. The account area manages available profile and personalization features. A public member account does not grant staff or editorial CMS privileges.

Can I save content or follow diplomatic subjects?

Account pages may offer saved content and following features when enabled for your account. Availability may differ by feature and release.

How can I request deletion or correction of my personal data?

Consult the Privacy Policy and submit a privacy request through Contact. Identity verification and applicable retention obligations may affect how a request is handled.

Community and services

What can I do in Community?

Community features depend on account status, country context and applicable participation rules. The ability to view a group does not automatically grant publishing or moderation rights.

Does DiplomaticGate certify providers listed in Services?

No. A listing is not by itself a guarantee of official status, licensing, pricing, performance or availability. Check details directly with the service provider.

How do I contact the team?

Use Contact for general questions, support, privacy requests and commercial inquiries. Use Corrections for specific factual errors.

Privacy, newsletters and advertising

What happens when I subscribe to the newsletter?

At the currently documented stage, submitting an email records newsletter interest. Automatic welcome messages and recurring newsletter emails are not yet active.

How does DiplomaticGate handle personal information?

Read the Privacy Policy for current descriptions of public forms, accounts, technical logs, cookies, retention and requests to access, correct or delete information.

Are advertisements part of editorial recommendations?

No. Paid advertising is separate from editorial coverage and should not determine the platform’s diplomatic facts or editorial approvals.
