Foreign ministers from Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Egypt issued a joint statement on 23 July 2026 opposing reported incursions and other actions at Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem.
The ministers argued that the actions breached the site's historical and legal status and could undermine efforts toward a two-state settlement. They called for protection of holy sites and respect for international law. This report records the eight governments' joint diplomatic position rather than independently determining every incident described.
