Mali's President Assimi Goïta received the credentials of Ahmed bin Turki Al Subaie as Qatar's ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Mali in Bamako on 16 April 2026, according to Qatar's Foreign Ministry.
The ambassador conveyed greetings from the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and the Malian president sent reciprocal greetings. This is a formal presentation of credentials, rather than the announcement of a new bilateral treaty.
