Oman condemns targeting of Bahrain, Kuwait and vessels in the Strait of Hormuz

The Foreign Ministry expresses the Sultanate of Oman’s condemnation of the military attacks that targeted the territories of the brotherly Kingdom of Bahrain and State of Kuwait, as well as the incidents involving two Saudi and Qatari commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Oman affirms its solidarity with the brotherly countries in all measures that preserve their security, stability, territorial integrity, sovereignty and interests.

Oman affirms that the escalation of military tension in the region poses a threat to its security, maritime safety, the flow of international trade and energy supplies. It renews its total rejection of any acts that would undermine the security of states or endanger civilian and commercial vessels.

The Sultanate of Oman calls on all parties to exercise restraint, halt escalation, prioritise dialogue and diplomatic solutions and commit to the full implementation of the signed understandings in support of efforts to consolidate security and peace.
