Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani spoke by telephone with Algeria's Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf on 15 September 2026, according to Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
They reviewed cooperation between Qatar and Algeria and discussed regional and international developments of mutual concern. The Qatari prime minister emphasized the importance of de-escalation and of supporting security and stability across the region. No new accord was announced in the statement.
