Qatar and Belgium held a videoconference session on 7 October 2026 devoted to international cooperation and coordination in multilateral forums, as part of their strategic dialogue. The Qatari delegation was chaired by Jawhara bint Abdulaziz Al Suwaidi of the Foreign Ministry's International Cooperation Department, while Pieter Vermaerke, Belgium's director for humanitarian aid and peace, chaired the Belgian side.
The discussion covered bilateral frameworks for humanitarian and development cooperation, as well as coordination within international organizations and forums. Both sides reviewed opportunities to strengthen cooperation and matters of shared concern. Qatar's Foreign Ministry presented this as a dialogue session, not the signing of a new treaty.
