Qatar condemned what it described as a Houthi ballistic-missile strike targeting Riyadh and attempted attacks on civilian sites in other Saudi cities in a statement dated 20 September 2026.
The Foreign Ministry said threats to civilians and infrastructure were unacceptable and affirmed solidarity with Saudi Arabia's sovereignty, territorial integrity and security. It also linked Saudi security to the collective security of the Gulf Cooperation Council. The incident details are attributed to Qatar's published statement.
