Qatar participated in the sixth meeting of the Joint Oversight Committee for the Democratic Republic of the Congo–Rwanda peace agreement in London on 25 June 2026, alongside the United States, Togo, the African Union Commission and representatives of the two parties.
According to the joint statement published through Qatar's Foreign Ministry, participants reviewed ceasefire implementation, security arrangements and verification efforts amid concerns about violence in eastern Congo. They reaffirmed support for the Doha negotiation process and urged practical measures to reduce tensions. The meeting monitored an existing peace agreement; it was not the signature of a new one.
