Qatar reiterated support for Sudan's unity, territorial integrity and the safety of its population during a Human Rights Council discussion in Geneva on 7 September 2026. Qatar's permanent representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Dr. Hind Abdulrahman Al Muftah, delivered the statement.

The representative condemned violations affecting civilians during Sudan's armed conflict and emphasized international humanitarian law and a Sudanese-led political settlement. She also cited Qatar Charity's allocation of around QAR 18 million for humanitarian responses in Sudan in 2026. The funding figure and policy positions are attributed to her ministry-published remarks.
