Qatar and Ethiopia convened their third round of foreign-ministry political consultations in Doha on 20 May 2026. Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi led the Qatari delegation, while Ethiopian State Minister Hadera Abera Admassu led his country's side.
According to Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the session reviewed bilateral cooperation and ways to expand it. The official notice did not report a new agreement or the appointment of diplomatic representatives.
