Qatar participated in an international conference on women's roles in contemporary society in Avaza, Turkmenistan, on 10 December 2025. Minister of State for International Cooperation Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad represented Qatar.
In remarks published by the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Al Misnad emphasized women's access to education, economic opportunities and leadership, as well as protection and empowerment of women in conflict-affected settings.
