Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani spoke by telephone with Turkmenistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov on 20 October 2025.
The two officials discussed cooperation between Qatar and Turkmenistan and ways to develop their relationship, as well as shared concerns, Qatar's Foreign Ministry reported. The official announcement did not identify a new treaty or state visit.
